Culture as Strategy

Business guru, Peter Drucker, famously said “culture eats strategy for breakfast”. In this session we define strategy and culture; words are often thrown around but hard to pin down. And we seek to obliterate the false dichotomy by exploring “culture as strategy”, with a toolkit that helps you achieve cultural alignment in your recruitment strategy.

BoardRoom Session: Getting the Most out of Your Locums

Recruit4vets annual locum survey shows that clinics don’t feel they get as much as they could out of their veterinary locums. Similarly, locums feel that their skills are often under-utilised. In this vet group only forum, we aim to address exactly that by sharing best practices on how to get the most of your locums.

As Head of Strategy for Recruit4Vets,  Ben Brett brings 3 decades of staffing solutions experience to draw from and address the Veterinary Industry’s ‘war for talent'.

Ben’s work covers most areas of the talent supply chain both agency and in-house and is across the service range from search and selection, recruitment outsourcing, contingent permanent, locum and workforce management.

Specialist recruiters - projects such as improving and designing most effective organisational models, implementing collaborative business development techniques that bring the recruiter and their client closer and deliver improved results.

In-house recruitment departments - training and developing both internal recruiters and hiring managers to improve direct recruitment.

Ben’s role is to leverage Recruit4Vets’ capabilities, collaborate with internal recruitment stakeholders and innovate to bring greater value through increased clinical productivity and improved retention.

Hidden Treasure

Most common practices are geared towards increasing the flow of the patients into the hospital by adding resources to Marketing, Self-scheduling and Search Engine Optimization. In contrast, Dr Ivan has recommendations on how to improve the bottom line by optimizing existing resources, establish new time-motion KPIs and decrease revenue loss, rather than spending more on additional overheads.
