A recent survey by KPMG found that 49% of UK consumers take charge and actively monitor their own health, meaning there are significant opportunities for pharmacies to become the health and wellbeing partner of choice. Paul Martin, Head of Retail at KPMG will outline key results from the survey and highlight the retail opportunities for UK pharmacies to support consumers, patients and carers.

Jay qualified as a pharmacist from Portsmouth University and holds an MBA. He began his career at Day Lewis as Pharmacist Manager, progressing to Regional Manager, then Chief Innovation Officer.
Now, as Executive Director, he is responsible for retail strategy and innovation, and leads the business alongside Rupa Patel and Sam Patel. His vision is to connect great people with effective and professional processes, using robust technology to give patients the best possible experience and outcomes. Jay is the elected Multiple Chemist Representative on the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC). He is passionate about pharmacy politics and the role the community pharmacy sector plays within the NHS.
