ReFuelForumUK 2021

September 6-7, 2021

De Vere Beaumont Estate, Old Windsor, UK

Embracing the dynamic changes in the fuel retail sector and the fast paced shift towards mobility, the cloud and the digital customer, PetroForum UK has rebranded to ReFuel UK.

For the first time in its 14-year history, this hugely popular event will take place in the UK. After months of upheaval and uncertainty, the need to connect, share and learn is more important than ever.  PetroForum and C-StoreForum have consistently provided fuel and convenience retailers and suppliers with the answer - and we hope the new brand and the new UK location will make the decision to join us easier than ever.

The event is invitation-only and connects UK fuel and convenience retailers with a wide range of product and solution providers who can help take retail to the next level. Pre-arranged one-on-ones, lively debate on alternative fuels and a dive into the future of fuel and convenience retail lie at the heart of the two days.

With Brian Madderson of the Car Wash Association; Richard Cox at The Kay Group; and Steve Rodell of Christie + Co. by his side, Michael will lead The Big Debate in examining all the crucial issues for forward-looking retailers: to stay or sell, drive-thru, unmanned, reducing wetstock loss, EV, hydrogen, alternative fuel or alternative use?

Michael joined the industry in 1997 as a licensee operator for Applegreen.  Since then, his career has included roles as Managing Director of both Applegreen UK and Motor Fuel Group. He is now COO of Simply Fresh and a Non-Exec of europump, Headline Sponsor of PetroForum UK

Moderator, Keith Guppy, Fuel Supply Solutions

Panellists: Oliver Shaw, CEO, Kalibrate Technologies; Paul Courtney, Commercial Director, SGN Retail; Russell Fowler, Senior Project Manager, Decarbonisation of Transport, National Grid; Michelle Machesney, EV Solutions Director at TSG UK Solutions Ltd and Chair of the PEIMF; Alex Hinchcliffe, Sales Director, MER.

The momentum behind EVs is building, with leading car manufacturers announcing deadlines to cease production of fossil fuel powered vehicles.  Our panel of experts will flesh out the pathway to successful EV integration: looking at the legislation behind the Road to Zero strategy, future technology requirements, cars of the future and energy storage and management systems.

This session is a deep dive into how retailers can build a sustainable E.V. offering. What part could the forecourt network play in providing sufficient charge points outside the home? Our panel of experts will discuss some key considerations:

- What is consumer and car manufacturer research telling us?

- Should retailers be planning now? What will be the challenges and what solutions are available?

- Is there support from government and trade associations?

We are delighted to announce that our after-dinner speaker will be ex-England cricketer, Geoff Miller, OBE. Geoff represented England internationally for a number of years and since retiring, has spent time on the England Cricket selectors board. Miller, who domestically played for Derbyshire and Essex, was an outstanding all-rounder and has fantastic statistics to support this.

TESTIMONIALS

"ReFuelForum allowed me to see so many customers and suppliers in one superb location. The topics debated were hugely relevant, representing the day-to-day issues fuel retailers face. I just can’t believe how productive my time was and how much I managed to achieve. A great two days."

Retail Director, Certas Energy

"Time after time, the way the event works is of great value to us. Talking business in an informal setting, listening to our customers and talking about our products and new innovations; we believe it is a great way to connect further to our customers and deepen our relationships".
