The third PharmacyForum UK&I  took place on 18-19th May 2017, at the Anantara Resort Vilamoura.

Over 65 delegates were invited to the exclusive event for the pharmacy marketplace – including top-tier groups such as Superdrug, Day Lewis, The National Pharmacy Association, and Numark. They were joined by premium suppliers – with Buttercups, FREZYDERM, Velresco, and Christie & Co. in attendance.

The Future of the UK Pharmacy

A recent survey by KPMG found that 49% of UK consumers take charge and actively monitor their own health, meaning there are significant opportunities for pharmacies to become the health and wellbeing partner of choice. Paul Martin, Head of Retail at KPMG will outline key results from the survey and highlight the retail opportunities for UK pharmacies to support consumers, patients and carers.

Jay qualified as a pharmacist from Portsmouth University and holds an MBA. He began his career at Day Lewis as Pharmacist Manager, progressing to Regional Manager, then Chief Innovation Officer.

Now, as Executive Director, he is responsible for retail strategy and innovation, and leads the business alongside Rupa Patel and Sam Patel. His vision is to connect great people with effective and professional processes, using robust technology to give patients the best possible experience and outcomes. Jay is the elected Multiple Chemist Representative on the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC). He is passionate about pharmacy politics and the role the community pharmacy sector plays within the NHS.

Noel is Managing Director of Scottish pharmacy group, Right Medicine Pharmacy, with 11 pharmacies in Scotland.  He is currently a member of the Board of the National Pharmacy Association and a member of the European Pharmacists Forum. He qualified as a pharmacist in 2000 from Bradford University.
