Sponsors line up to back APEA 2009
Plans for the APEA's annual conference, exhibition and awards dinner are well underway, and a number of companies have been quick to step forward and put their name against an event which is increasing in stature year on year.
Returning sponsors, Gilbarco Veeder-Root, will be backing the Conference for the fourth year running. Also stepping up to the mark for the fourth year is PetroTechnik, who will be sponsoring the Evening Entertainment. Chairman, John Boudry, says "In these difficult economic conditions, we once again jumped at the opportunity to sponsor the evening entertainment, hoping that this year our contribution will really top the evening in an exciting and splendid way. Let's have some fun!"
Eurotank Environmental will be the sponsors of the evening's Welcome Drinks, which unusually this year, will be held around the exhibition stands, thereby offering exhibitors unprecedented access to around 600 dinner guests. Eurotank's Managing Director, Edward Wheeler, said "We're really looking forward to sponsoring the Drinks this year, particularly given the new format, which should foster some healthy networking opportunities."
The prestigious APEA Awards are in their fourth year, raising standards and recognising and rewarding those organisations who lead the way in their field. The APEA will be sponsoring the Small Enterprise Award for the second year running. Gareth Bourhill, the APEA's Chairman, says "Within the petroleum retail sector, there are numerous, talented, self-employed individuals and small companies, whose work or products often go unrecognised... This award acknowledges their skills, knowledge and service, and the huge contribution they make to our industry."
Other categories this year include Innovation which will be sponsored by Toureen Mangan, Customer Care sponsored by Torex, Environment sponsored by Petrocom, Personal Contribution sponsored by ELAFLEX, and Health & Safety sponsored by Coteba. Anton Martiniussen of ELAFLEX, who are sponsoring the Personal Contribution Award for the third year running, said, "It's important to us as a company, particularly during these tough times, when high standards and commitment from indivuduals in their fields must prevail. ELAFLEX is proud to champion the individual who best demonstrates these qualities through their dedication and contribution."
The Ricoh Arena, Coventry, will open its doors to APEA 09 on 15th October. For exhibition stand bookings, exhibition and conference places, and awards dinner bookings, contact Annabel Daley on email@example.com
"A great opportunity for us to meet so many vendors and colleagues. The matching-style meeting was a unique and effective way to get acquainted with others."
